Rudolf Jurolek (1956) has published seven volumes of poetry, most recently Život je možný (2007), Smrekový les (2009) and Poľné vety (2013) He also published a longer cycle of lyrical reflections Poznámky na kraj in a collaborative book Krajina vo mne (2015). In 2017, he published a prose book Pán Ó and a special book with empty pages Poézia ticha a plnosti (1993, second edition in 1997). Together with Slávka Rude-Porubská, he translated Michael Donhauser’s collection Schönste Lieder. He used to run the publishing house Solitudo from 1991 until 2003 and since 2012 works for the Skalná ruža publishing house. He is married with three kids and five grandkids.
