Maciej Melecki

Maciej Melecki is an award-winning Polish poet, prose writer, publisher and screenwriter. He was born in 1969 in Mikołów, where he lives and directs the Rafał Wojaczek Institute.

He is the author of the poetry collections Te sprawy (1995), Niebezpiecznie blisko (1996), Zimni ogrodnicy (1999), Przypadki i odmiany (2001), Bermudzkie historie (2005), Zawsze wszędzie indziej – selected poems 1995–2005 (2008), Przester (2009), Szereg zerwań (2011), Pola toku (2013), Inwersje (2016), Prask – selected poems in Czech (2017), Bezgrunt (2019), Trasa progu – selected poems 1995–2020 (2020), Druzgi (2021), Przeciwujęcia (2024), Chłodnie (2025), and Przyrost strąceń – selected poems 2016–2024 (2026).

He is also the author of the prose books Gdzieniegdzie (2017), Nigdzie indziej (2021) and Żywe mumie (2023).
